The concept of our documentary film festival

Mov(i)e Activism is a documentary film festival that revolves around movies which promote activism in its vast variety of forms and in all corners of the globe. It all started with a small group of young enthusiasts whose vision was to spread activism by sharing concrete practical examples. The final goal of the festival is to create an international network of people who are involved in activities aimed to improve our society.

Our activist documentary film festival is a completely DIY and non-profit event. All the persons involved in the organisation of Mov(i)e Activism are doing it for the sake of the cause and are investing their own resources. Furthermore, as we believe that everyone should have access to the screenings, there are no tickets or other expenses whatsoever. All the financial help the festival gets is coming from private donations on the spot and a symbolic 1 dollar movies submission fee. Everything else is the fruit of passion, enthusiasm, and a great cooperation between the festival and the filmmakers, cultural centres, cultural organisations, associations, and individuals.
